Six options

Choose a theme

Each one repaints the entire site — every page, every card, every chart. Pick one and the whole thing changes; nothing else about the design moves.

Try each in dark mode too, using the moon in the header. A theme that only works in one mode is not finished.

1 · Saffron & Paper

Warm, civilizational, the current default. Reads as considered rather than official.

5 · Copper & Slate

Muted, editorial, almost newspaper-like. The quietest — lets the writing carry everything.

6 · Marigold & Teal

The brightest and most energetic. Best for a public campaign, riskiest for a policy document.

How to decide

Three questions, in order of how much they matter.

  1. Who is the first serious reader? If it is an official or an academic, Indigo or Copper. If it is the public, Saffron or Marigold. If the civilizational grounding should be visible immediately, Vermilion.
  2. Does it survive dark mode? Switch the moon in the header and look again. Marigold and Vermilion change character the most between modes.
  3. Does it fight the illustrations? The images were generated against the Saffron palette. Indigo, Copper and Peepal sit with them comfortably; Vermilion and Marigold compete with them a little.

Whatever you choose becomes the default for every visitor. The picker stays in the header regardless, so a reader can still change it for themselves.
